At MITS Bhubaneswar, our Central Facilities are designed to support cutting-edge research, hands-on learning, and interdisciplinary collaboration. These shared resources provide students and faculty access to advanced instrumentation and specialized laboratories that foster innovation across scientific domains.

🔬 Central Instrumentation Facility

Our Central Instrumentation Facility (CIF) houses a diverse array of high-end equipment essential for research in biotechnology, microbiology, molecular biology, cell biology, and biochemistry. The facility is structured to promote efficient utilization of resources and encourage cross-departmental synergy.

Key Highlights:

• Molecular Biology Lab: Equipped with Real-Time PCR, Biosafety Cabinets, Spectrophotometers, and Deep Freezers for genetic and biochemical analysis.
• Applied Microbiology Lab: Features Laminar Air Flow, Bacteriological Incubators, UV Transilluminators, and PCR systems for microbial research.
• Cell Biology Lab: Includes B.O.D Incubators, Refrigerated Centrifuges, and Water Baths for cellular and physiological studies.
• Biochemistry Lab: Offers Cooling Centrifuges, Rotary Shakers, and Double Distillation Units for biochemical experimentation.
• Computational Resources: Over 200 desktop computers and a dedicated Supercomputer to support data analysis, modeling, and simulation.

These centralized facilities are maintained by trained technical staff and are accessible to all departments, ensuring a robust infrastructure for academic excellence and research advancement.
